Suncoast Beach Shade
When Suncoast Beach Shade approached Hang Ten Creative Agency, the owner Mike Gillmore, was in the beginning stages of launching his beach umbrella anchor brand. It was important to him to have something that was crafted by locals who not only understood the lifestyle, but also knew how to bring it to life visually. He had put so much time and attention into the quality of his anchors, so he needed a brand that was on that same level.
We first started with the foundation: brand strategy. Because while yes he sells beach umbrella anchors, it was important to dig deeper and create a brand that sells shade, comfort, fun, lifestyle. It’s about the feelings and the culture of Suncoast Beach Shade, not just the anchor (even though it’s the best on the market and we promise we aren’t biased).
Once we had the strategy down, we were able to create a full logo suite that he could use, featuring the shape of his umbrella anchor in a hidden coastal palm tree. Mike took his brand and ran with it, creating merchandise to rep the brand.
We were also able to help him with a package design for wholesale, as well as a website that not only showcased the product, but the lifestyle around it. His brand photography was the cherry on top. Suncoast Beach Shade isn’t just some corporate company. Mike’s a Florida local and downright great guy with big dreams and a whole lot of heart in his business. Through brand photography, we helped show the human aspect of his brand: the lifestyle.

A few years back, I decided to try entrepreneurship. I had come up with a product that I thought would work.
